Excellent idea Gph ! :-)

Its therapy for me to write down that we have a lack of pace these last 5 - 10 years. Others that I have bored with it left this site years back but it goes back to just after Behrami left.

Pace, strength, stamina and a work ethic but with good technique. We have tried - in addition to Noble - Matt Taylor, Kovac, Kouyate, Song, Obiang, Nordveit, LBM - to name just a few. None of them have or had all the attributes. Rice does but needs another 1 or 2 in the squad to help him out. Solve this and we will be able to move the ball quicker, be able to press teams better ourselves and be less vulnerable to teams on the counter that have often run through our midfield at ease.

Anyway, I promise not to mention it .... until our next loss :-)

Though he should program his computer to have a "lack of pace" key which prints out exactly that.

Save himself a lot of effort in the long run.

A great performance against a 'top 6' side but still shows that there is something mentally wrong with the squad when we perform how we do against the lesser sides. Something that needs addressing in time for next season if we are to really kick on.

Best performance for yonks, real team effort. Can't fault any of the players just the lousy officials, Warnock called it right the other week when he said some of the worst around. Sad how the so called 'top five' seem to profit most from crap decisions.

As you rightly say, if only every team gave us the time and space United did. The better teams tend to because they are confident they can outplay most teams and play on the proverbial "front foot" which suits us. Where we struggle, as we will against Leicester I suspect, is teams that press hard, give no time and space and are physically robust.

Its central midfield we suffer most but also Pellegrini tends not to demand creative and forward thinking players to work that hard tracking back, closing down etc. when we are not in possession. But its ultimately that the likes of Noble, Snodgrass, Obiang, Sanchez, Wilshire have one thing in common , they are all a bit one paced. Snodgrass to be fair compensates with a 100% work rate and commitment and Noble also tries his best but you cannot go faster than your legs will allow :-)

When you factor in Lanzini and Hernandez and to a lesser extent Anderson's work rate off the ball when we are not in possession and the lack of technique / passing ability of Antonio. Then on top of all that, injuries every week. No wonder we are inconsistent / struggling to get into the next group of teams behind the top 6. Summer transfer business will need to be good. Getting quality but for the right areas like central midfield. Pellegrini and Hussilos need to get it right or may well be gone by next Xmas if we are languishing in the bottom 8. Fans will give them another summer and season but typically turn in season 2. Not much patience beyond that these days.

Probably our best performance at Old Trafford in living memory. Even games we have won have been a bit backs to the wall.
Have never heard a Man U manager say we were the better team and they didn’t deserve a result
Need to finish the season at that level as we have been shit since December

Was a good game and our best performance for a while.

That said, the Man U subs seem to make a big difference, as did Antonio coming on for us.

I would have taken a draw over all.

Can't believe Pogba got MotM, he wasn't even the best Man U player.
